General guidance: Please see Yonatan Bisk’s helpful guide on emailing faculty. A note about AI-generated emails: these generally all look the same, don’t reflect well on the sender, and I do not read them. If you do email me, please keep your note as brief and information-dense as possible.

Questions about PhD admissions: Unfortunately I cannot reply to every email. If you feel drawn to the topics/publications listed on my webpage, please mention me in your graduate application and I will read it. Please do not email to inquire whether you should apply: I cannot determine that without seeing your application. If you apply, I will be able to read all your materials more efficiently.

Questions about internships: I’m not taking interns at this time.

Questions about courses: Please use the course page/canvas where possible. If you must email me, please include the course number in the subject line.
